“I own a 550 Tomahawk centre console powered by a 150hp Yamaha 2 stroke. Such a great boat I have kept it for just over 4 seasons which is about twice as long as any other of the 20 plus boats I have owned. I love this boat so much that my next boat will be the 550 or 580… Well made and strong design, this boat is stable at rest and eats the chop. Turns a lot of heads where ever I go…”
– Richard“From a woman’s point of view my 455 side console sea-rod is by far the best boat. I got mine for Christmas 2 years ago and have been to the Northern Territory gulf several times. Easy to drive and handles rivers and open sea perfectly. Love my boat and my husband for buying it for me.”
– Kathy“… Let me tell you that Formosa built me my dream boat. The hard top was the first of the kind and it turned out brilliant. From day one to delivery there were no issues. The quality of the work is of very high standard down to the actual build to the fit out. Strongly recommend Formosa if you are a serious fisho like me…”

Customers First
Formosa Marine’s central focus and commitment have always been customer satisfaction and service. Formosa Marine has always worked closely with their dealers and directly with customers to ensure they receive the boat of their dreams. The development of Formosa Marine boats and their operations has always been driven by the desire to design great boats and meet customer demand; never focused on what others in the marine industry are doing.
Quality
Formosa Marine’s team of Welders, Fabricators and Fitout specialists have been specifically trained and supported in their roles, in turn they take great pride in the production of the boats. Firstly, boat features and options are designed and manufactured inhouse, otherwise quality products, mainly for fitout, are sourced from marine industry specialists.
Integrity
The advancement of the boats focusses on the strength, safety, quality and performance yet keeping them within an affordable price range. Early days saw their boats being tested in the most remote areas of Australia to ensure boats were developed to handle all environments. Enhancements are still being made however minor; be assured though, Formosa Marine never skimp on quality!
Innovation
Formosa Marine began to satisfy the simple need to design and fabricate, hence why there is a long history of development that will continue into the future.
With the above company values and ever increasing brand recognition, Formosa Marine has become a thriving business achieving an impressive growth over recent years. Since the beginning, the business has moved as production increased. Today they own their shed in Tingalpa, Brisbane; a testament of their dedication to producing quality, safety and performance in aluminium plate boat manufacturing.
